Flowers

These grow in my flower bed - no clue what they are, anyone care to educate me. Think they start with an "A."
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
Song of Solomon 2:12

These are my perennial geraniums a neighbor gave me - they bloom spring to fall - love them.

I think it's a type of allium maybe. Alliums are in the onion genus and there is quite a difference between some varieties. I found some online that look somewhat similar to the ones pictured here but not exactly the same. (I didn't look much.) When you pick them do they smell like onion? I'm not suggesting you eat them, now! I'm not sure if all varieties are edible.
