I Plea to God

Even a polar bear is loving and gentle with their offspring, this picture shows the design that should exist in us too – lovingly nurturing our children.
I’m sad at reading news of drug addicted parents who suffocated their small crying child then passed out; a woman suicide bomber who killed no less than 18 other women and 12 children; Haitian looters who steal rations from women while children go hungry .....the list on this earth is long of the cruelty mankind does to one another.....I plea to God, WHY?

Why do we have to look so hard for goodness around us at times?

Our church message was on “Unity” this Sunday – yet down the pews are people who won’t talk to me, (I’m intimidating in case you didn’t know!  Boo!) and I wondered “are they hearing the same message I am hearing God? Do you expect MORE from me than you do from them?” Yes, I know God is speaking to me......but there are times I want to be like this squirrel and not have to do the “right” thing.....it is so much easier to put my head in the snow, to turn away.....I plea to God, WHY?
1 Kings 8:52
"May your eyes be open to your servant's plea and to the plea of your people Israel, and may you listen to them whenever they cry out to you.

From one 'intimidating' Christian to another - I also plea to God.
We both know the easy thing isn't always the right thing. Too many go the way of the squirrel today.

Hi Val,

I think at one time or another we can all relate to what you write about here. Best wishes! Love the picks too.

Just keep doing the right thing even when no one else is...forgive and pray Lord change ME. God see's every ones hearts. But like you...I sometimes desire to take the way of the squirrel.
