I’ve been quiet. Pain
makes me either quiet or screaming. Flip
a coin on a day. “Staying quiet doesn’t
mean I have nothing to say, it means I don’t think you’re ready to hear my
thoughts.”
We’ve had a year of journey in only a few months it seems
and we are still figuring things out.
I don’t want to be a drag – so as my first 2013 post, I’d
like to show you my short list of things that make me laugh lately:
1.
I know it is immature, but a farting utube had
me laughing so hard I had tears rolling, and then sharing it with the office to
watch a lot of people laughing uncontrollably.
Laugh until you cry.
2.
Learning that others see how funny my oldest
child can be. People have been telling
me “he is so funny!” Maybe they really
want to say he is so immature, but reading my #1 might give some understanding
to my funny son…..oh well. I like
knowing he can make people laugh….that helps me during the hard parts of being
this 15 year old’s mom. He makes me laugh too when I’m not cyring and that isnt’
crying in laughter!
3.
Sophia.
Daily. She is a sweetness that
surprises so often. It is the little things, like on Christmas Eve
when leaving after a wonderful program, she sings: “Saturday night, Holy night, all is calm, all
is bright.” Those things make me smile
from the roots of my hair to the tips of my dry toes!
4.
My husband.
He can just make me laugh. My dry
humor dude all the way. Then I in turn
like to see him laugh….showed him a “25 funniest autocorrects of 2012” – he was
wiping the tears!
5.
Big Bang Theory.
6.
My children laughing.
I'm hoping 2013 has lots of laughter in it.
Here are some health benefits of laughter:
- Reduces Heart disease
- Natural pain killer
- Improves breathing
- Helps you lose weight
- Gives good sleep
- Decreases stress
- Makes you look younger
I’ll stop here. A day without laughter is a
day wasted - love to know, what is making you laugh these days?
